[001] Video/Action - New Bark Town - backdated to 11/08

Salutations, Johto! And- Kanto, I believe?

[She's heard of neither of these places, but that's no reason not to be proper about it.]

I'm not sure who would need to be alerted to a medical emergency, but the nice lady who greeted me seemed VERY confused. But very kind, too! She gave me all KINDS of supplies that I'm sure will be MOST helpful.

But- um... I'm very certain she is NOT my mother. And this device says I'm someplace called 'New Bark Town', but it doesn't seem to have an actual map of the area, or anyplace to go for emergency services. If anyone could offer help, I would be VERY grateful!

[She looks about to click off the transmission, but stops herself.]

Oh, I'm sorry! My name is Penny. It's a pleasure to meet you all!

[And with a small, mechanical wave, the video ends.]

[Action]

[Not too long after her video transmission, Penny can be found in the general vicinity of everywhere, New Bark Town. Depending on when you find her, she's alternately sitting somewhere sheltered and thoroughly pouring over her Pokégear and Trainer's Handbook, or just sort of... exploring everything. Literally, almost everything, like it's a brand new experience. A Joltik is with her, typically perched on her shoulder and managing to look bored with everything.]

[Just... give her a second to reach for something offscreen, Xion. When Penny leans back into proper view, she's holding a Joltik up to the camera.]

This is Amber! I know she's a little small, but she seems VERY enthusiastic.

[As Penny speaks, the Joltik takes an aggressive stance towards the camera, raising up as much as its tiny legs let it.]

Oh--!

[It's so tiny and cute, oh gosh.]

H-hi, Amber! It's okay, there's nothing wrong with being...small. I'm pretty small, too, but I'm scrappy. Amber seems like she is, too, I bet she'll do great with battling.

Thank you, I have confidence she'll do great too! I might not look like it either, but I'm- "scrappy," wasn't it?- as well.

[And almost posing for the camera, just a little. But looking supremely self-confident.]

That's good! That way you'll be able to catch more Pokemon and train them to be "combat ready" too!

But don't worry, training and battling isn't all there is to Pokemon, you bond with them too. My Pokemon help me collect shells and stuff on the beach.

That sounds sen-SATIONAL! I've never been to a beach, are they nice here?

Yes, they're very nice--clean, peaceful, and pretty, full of Pokemon and people having fun.

[Yeah don't mind her going full fangirl over the ocean.]

And there's lots of shells to make bracelets and stuff out of! I've been practicing that a lot since I got here, I think I've gotten pretty good.
